The official ceremony in Sarimoy, Khorezm Region, marked the beginning of construction on the Gazli–Sarimoy and Oqchaloq–Gazli–Nukus gas pipelines. With a combined route length of 275 kilometres, the project represents a new stage in the development of Uzbekistan’s gas transport infrastructure.
The first pipeline weld became the key moment of the event, marking the transition from the official project launch to the practical phase of construction. The works are scheduled for completion in September 2027.
UZTRANSGAZ is the project client, while UET is acting as the general contractor. Probuild Generation is participating in the delivery of the works as part of UET, together with the project’s engineering and construction teams.
The scope of works includes route preparation, pipeline welding and installation, quality control and compliance with industrial safety requirements. Particular attention will also be given to minimising the environmental impact of construction, preserving the natural landscape and existing vegetation, and ensuring responsible use of the project area.
